Dear Herpa-Fan,
historic as well as future-oriented vehicles and airplanes will be the originals for Herpa’s new releases planned for March/April 2021.
In the Cars & Trucks segment, the Wartburg 353 Trans will be added to the range of classic models. Both with chrome bumpers in the 1966 design, and with plastic bumpers in the 1985 version, the van with a detachable canvas cover will appear in two colors. Alternative drives are becoming more and more popular in the truck sector as well. Thus, Herpa realizes the chassis for the gas-powered models of the latest Volvo. In addition to other interesting versions, BMW models in the 1/43 scale will again be released in various designs.
The aircraft models in the 1/200 scale will be complemented by a new airplane type, the Soviet long-range classic Ilyushin IL-62M. The new type will make its debut in the colors of North Korea's Air Koryo, the last operator of this aircraft in passenger service. Lufthansa celebrated the grand opening of the new airport in Berlin with the lettering “Hauptstadtflieger” on an A320neo. Herpa reproduces the aircraft in the 1/500 and 1/200 scales, as well as a SnapFit model, true to the last detail. Other than shown on the initial Lufthansa drawings, the name was revised from ‘”Berlin” to “Neubrandenburg”.
