New Releases September / October 2020 now online
From convertibles to a Christmas freighter – the new releases
from Herpa promise to heat up your autumn

Dear Herpa-Fan,

Summertime is convertible season. Therefore we will be shipping out the models of the open-roof offensive announced for September/October to retailers already in July. These vehicles in attractive new colors will be released in one-time-only limited editions. The many new car molds promise to make this autumn an exciting one: the sought-after BMW 3 Series Touring further expands the car range; not only in its civil version in Alpine White and Tanzanite-Blue, but also as a car of Bavarian police. In the truck sector, the short NN cabin for construction and on-highway vehicles further expands the range of the new MAN cabin generation. A brand new development is a further Goldhofer lowboy trailer with wheel recesses, marketed as the “Allrounder”. Not to forget this year’s Christmas models are made available for pre-ordering.

The many anniversaries in aviation inspired the new releases in the Wings collection. With the Boeing 747-200 in the “ochre” livery of the 1970s which Qantas introduced in 1971 at the same time as the start of operations of the Jumbo Jet and with which the famous kangaroo took a more prominent place on the stabilizer, the series commemoration the Centenary of the Australian airline comes to a conclusion. A model of still legendary Pan Am continues the series celebrating the 50th anniversary of the DC-10. An Etihad Boeing 787-9 kicks off a series of new models decorated with the different colorful “choose-liveries” with which the Abu Dhabi-based airline pays tribute to its most important international markets and industrial partners. And last, but not least, this year’s Christmas model will be something else. Airbus’s unique BelugaXL freighter has enough space inside its belly for an additional seasonal surprise.

Good and inexpensive protective masks

Twenty masks cost 19.95 euros at Herpa

From German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Macron of France to Spain’s King Felipe and Queen Elisabeth: Europe’s politicians and heads of state agree on one point across almost all parties. In Europe, we will have to live together at a distance for some time to come, wearing face masks whenever possible when leaving our homes.

This is why the company BRANOfilter from Dietenhofen reacted immediately. Managing director Sebastian Melz: “The demand for protective face and hygiene masks has exploded. From the very beginning, the idea was that we wanted to help people, not to profit from the crisis. Our aim is to provide good protection for the people in the region as inexpensively as possible. Made in Germany.”

At Herpa, we recently relaunched our online shop, allowing us to sell the masks at low prices throughout Europe. Just like BRANOfilter, we are not acting to profit from the crisis.

Our presenter Mathias Neigenfind will take you on a virtual tour of our production facilities, show you rooms that are otherwise off limits to visitors, and will explain how a Herpa model is created.

At the end of the tour, a trailer will be waiting for you again, which you will receive for free when you purchase the special tractor intended for the Summer Party. There will also be great shopping offers with attractive special and rare models, live chats with the product managers of Herpa Cars & Trucks and Wings, competitions with great prizes, and much more.

Next year, the event will again take place as usual on the company´s premises in Dietenhofen.
