Two trade fair models for this year’s ILA now in the online shop

Dear Herpa-Fan,

everyone knows that all major events in Germany have to be cancelled until further notice due to the coronavirus pandemic, including this year's ILA Berlin Air Show, which was scheduled to take place in Berlin from May 13 to 17. Herpa would also have had a stand there, and would have presented itself with two exhibition models.

Planned were a 1/500-scale model of Laker Airways, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-10, and a 1/200-scale SnapFit model of an Air Berlin A330-200 with the registration D-ALPI and the lettering “BER Berlin Brandenburg Airport – Europe’s most modern airport”, the original of which promoted the opening of Berlin's new airport originally scheduled for 2012.

The Air Berlin model is now available from our online shop as item number 612579, costing 19.95 euros. The Laker Airways DC-10 will follow a bit later. We will keep you updated well in advance.

Sincerely,
Your Herpa team

The “BIG” world in the small scale – put your personal miniature world on stage!

Welcome to the world of Herpa miniature models. With us, automotive emotions become reality in the small scale. We live in a world that is 87 times smaller than all that is around us. Enthusiasts create their own world, either as a reflection of what is or was real, a diorama, a showpiece, or an entire model railway construction. Thus, everyone can model what they want, where they can find their true selves.

Accurate and demanding results: these are the basics of model makers. Show us what you have constructed! It’s very simple: just send us your pictures (about four to six photos) via direct message on Instagram or Facebook. Describe your miniature world in a few sentences, we will do the rest!

Good and inexpensive protective masks

Twenty masks cost 19.95 euros at Herpa

From German Chancellor Angela Merkel and President Macron of France to Spain’s King Felipe and Queen Elisabeth: Europe’s politicians and heads of state agree on one point across almost all parties. In Europe, we will have to live together at a distance for some time to come, wearing face masks whenever possible when leaving our homes.

This is why the company BRANOfilter from Dietenhofen reacted immediately. Managing director Sebastian Melz: “The demand for protective face and hygiene masks has exploded. From the very beginning, the idea was that we wanted to help people, not to profit from the crisis. Our aim is to provide good protection for the people in the region as inexpensively as possible. Made in Germany.”

At Herpa, we recently relaunched our online shop, allowing us to sell the masks at low prices throughout Europe. Just like BRANOfilter, we are not acting to profit from the crisis.
