Dear Herpa-Fan,

December 2, 2015, is all about model railways. On that day and the following weekend, the Bund der Deutschen Eisenbahnerfreunde (BDEF) has initiated the model railway day to promote the little fascinating worlds. The Herpa Museum participates in this event day and opens the special exhibition rooms for model railroaders who always wanted to display their model railways or dioramas - which are usually in the basement or attic - in a museum.

That's how it's done:
Send photos and the dimensions of your arrangement together with a small presentation to dennis.daenschel@herpa.de (information by phone at +49-9824-951-278). Until November 20, 2015, a jury together with the Herpa model railways experts and DER MASS:STAB editor in chief Oliver Kaschel will pick the participants presenting at the Herpa Museum from December 2, 2015. Not only associations but also small model railroader groups or model railroaders or model building families who want to present their arrangements in public are eligible to participate. The model railway arrangements will be displayed from December 2, 2015 until January 5, 2016 at the latest in the Herpa Museum in Dietenhofen. For arrangements within a radius of 60 km we offer a pick-up service free of charge. If you want to continue building your diorama during the exhibition time, feel free to do so during the museum's opening hours.

We would like to invite all interested visitors and fans on Saturday, December 5, 2015, to the model railway day with dioramas of Fleischmann and the Herpa Christmas market. On that day, the museum will be open from 9am to 2pm, Leonrodstraße 46-47, 90599 Dietenhofen.
