Model of the year comes from Dietenhofen
Herpa wins prize for Porsche 911 models in various scales

Dear Herpa-Fan,

The best model vehicles on the German-speaking market come from Dietenhofen, Franconia. The magazine "Modellfahrzeug", Germany's leading magazine for car miniatures, awarded the prize "Model Vehicle of the Year" to the model manufacturer Herpa.

In various categories of different model areas and scales, readers were spoilt for choice. Yesterday, the prizes were awarded by the magazine's editor-in-chief Andreas Berse. The automobile expert calls the Porsche 911 "The icon of German sports cars"; the original was introduced one year ago and simultaneously produced by the model manufacturer from Dietenhofen. Especially exceptional according to Berse: The readers of the magazine didn't only vote the 1/87 scale Herpa Porsche best model car but also the bigger variant in the 1/43 scale.
