Dear Herpa-Fan

Back at the 2015 IAA in Frankfurt, the premium manufacturer Porsche introduced the latest reincarnation of its legendary 911, at the same time beginning a new era for Herpa. After a break of several years, a series of new Porsche 911 variants such as the Turbo and Carrera features among the new releases for May / June 2016 - besides in the 1/87 house scale, also in the scale 1/43.

A long-awaited highlight at the fair is also the current version of the DAF XF rigid tractor, which we were allowed to premiere there after lengthy license negotiations with the manufacturer. The "Cars & Trucks" range is further enhanced by a new dangerous goods trailer and many elaborate print variants.

Meanwhile, the H0 model railway scale links enthusiasm for airplane history in the shape of the Junkers F-13 with the 1/87 scale. Suitcase manufacturer Rimowa commissioned the original replication of this legendary plane from the 1920s, which will have its maiden flight in 2016 when it is released as a high-quality model for the showcase or model railway. Herpa is also set to expand its metal model plane range in the 1/72 scale by releasing two new highquality types in the Lockheed P-38 and the Starfighter. Equally striking is the Transall in the 1/200 scale, with details like the exchangeable rear ramp.

Furthermore, Herpa's product management presents the De Havilland Dash 7 in its maiden flight colors in the same scale to enhance the popular regional plane series. Just as sought-after as collectors' items will certainly be the DC-10-30 with forest fire-fighting equipment produced especially for this model, as well as an Icelandair Boeing 757-200 featuring the bright colors of the northern lights.
