Dear Herpa-Fan,

Around 7,000 fans celebrated the 65th anniversary of Herpa in Dietenhofen. Special models offered there, are now available in the Herpa brand store.

Last Saturday, thousands Herpa fans and enthusiasts from all over Europe visited Herpa in Dietenhofen. The manufacture of miniature models invited to his annual day of the open house.

Like every year, the visitors could experience with a productions tour, how many steps it takes to produce a Herpa model. This year, they could have a look to even more stations like printing, embossing, mounting wheelsets or painting a model. Outside, the new Active Park was well attended. An artist showed how to design a figurine of the manufacture Preiser with wax and a lot of creativity, before it is reduced and milled into a mold. Model makers could assemble a small model house at the booth of Auhagen and Faller, and experts demonstrated the correct use of the airbrush gun.

Also inside the buildings were many things to discover, like the museum, which has been comprehensively renovated last year. In various workshops, model builders exhibited fascinating dioramas and real model highlights – like a fully automatic Liebherr crawler crane in 1/87 scale, to mention just one of them
