Dear Herpa-Fan,
the developments of the past months did not leave Herpa untouched. Short-time work in our production to protect the employees from infections, as well as delivery problems with accessory parts from the Far East due to the strong fluctuations in global trade, have caused the new releases program for November / December to become somewhat smaller than usual. Herpa takes the opportunity to catch up on backlogs of already announced models at the end of the year.
Of course, there are again numerous highlights among the latest model we are happy to announce. In addition to a number of color variants, a model from Alpina in Imola red and Black Sapphire Metallic is now appearing again after a long time with the B3 sedan of the latest design. Furthermore, Herpa offers the long-awaited body version with a flat roof of the current Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Vögele’s Super 1900-3i road paver will be launched in the company’s own original color. All truck models as well as the mobile crane of Mammoet are produced in limited editions.
In the Wings aircraft model line, the TriStar in the livery of its first and largest customer Eastern Air Lines continues the three-part special series celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the legendary trijet. And thirty years ago, the history of the airline of the GDR (East Germany) came to an end. Herpa is taking this as an opportunity to release a 1/200-scale model of Interflug’s Ilyushin IL-62M. 100 years ago was probably the first attempt at a coup d’état from the air, inspiring Herpa to create another model. In 1921, the last Austrian Emperor and King of Hungary, Charles I, dethroned three years earlier, attempted to regain the Hungarian crown and flew on board an F13 from his exile in Switzerland to Hungary. Herpa is now recreating this historic airplane in the 1/87 scale.
Sincerely,
Your Herpa team
