New Releases May / June 2019 now online
Fresh colors and types

“May makes everything new”, sate the lyrics of a German song for the merry month. Herpa has taken it to heart, igniting a colorful firework of models with many new types to be released in May/June, at the Nuremberg Toy Fair.

A new top release in the Cars & Trucks segment is the huge Liebherr telescopic crane LTM 1300-6.2, which is used for a wide range of tasks in the field of heavy goods transport. The model impresses with many moving details, fine prints, and its excellent realization in the 1/87 scale. Another highlight is the Wirtgen W250i asphalt milling machine. The exceptional construction vehicle mills used tar layers, crushing them for professional removal. A new type, the IVECO Trakker completes the range of new products as well as a very special building rubble trough, which is transported by truck and rail on the construction site of the “Stuttgart 21” traffic project. The friends and collectors of construction-site and off-road models will be particularly pleased about another new type: the IVECO Trakker 6×6, which is released as a concrete mixer and construction tipper truck. Another addition to the range is the BMW 5 Series, the original of which has been on sale since February 2017. The 1/87-scale sedan is expected to be available from the middle of the year.

The “Wings” model range will be extended by four new aircraft types. With the Boeing 777-9, the maiden flight of which is planned for 2019, a model of the currently longest passenger airplane in the world will be released in the 1/500 scale. In the 1/200 scale, we add the model of the Sukhoi T-50, the first stealth fighter from Russian production. And on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the commissioning of the Dornier Alpha Jet, the 1:72-scale range will be completed by a new aircraft type in two versions from the Franco-German cooperation Dassault-Breguet. On the one hand, we release the trainer version Alpha Jet E (École) of the French Air Force, and on the other hand, the version Alpha Jet A (Appui Tactique) as a light fighter bomber of the German Air Force. Both models carry the same colors as the originals when they were commissioned in the late 1970s.
