New Releases July / August 2019 now online
Models that made history

Dear Herpa-Fan,

four new types will be added to the Cars & Trucks model range in July/August. The 5-series BMW, already offered as a sedan with the May/June releases, is now available as a Touring model in the standard color Alpine white (420389), as well as in Atlas cedar metallic (430708). Another new type is the two-axle tandem low-bed trailer with movable ramps at the rear, which is offered with the model of the Mercedes-Benz SK ‘94 swap-body truck (THW OV München Land) with crane (310482). And finally, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2013 double cab with box “THW OV München Land”, another one THW vehicle, complements the Cars Collection. Furthermore, the new fully-insulated thermal body semitrailer appears in the Herpa program for the first time, as a model of the company Trio-Trans.

The new Wings releases focus primarily on numerous airline anniversaries that are being celebrated this year. British Airways is using 1919, the year in which its predecessor company Aircraft Transport and Travel Limited (AT & T) was founded, to celebrate its centenary with various retro liveries. Herpa launches the Boeing 747-400 with the paint scheme of its predecessor airline BOAC, as well as another 747 with the Landor livery from the 1980s, as part of its July/August releases. KLM also celebrates its hundredth birthday. Herpa commemorates the centenary with a model of the Douglas DC-4 Skymaster, with which the Dutch airline launched its transatlantic flight operations in 1946. Models of the A330-800neo and the Boeing 737 Max 8 and 9 in the 1/500 scale, as well as the US four-engine supersonic long-haul bomber Convair XB-58 Hustler in the 1/200 scale, add variety to the types in the Wings range.
