Dear Herpa-Fan

Next Saturday, July 16, 2011, you can see for yourself with how much passion for detail a Herpa model is created. During our Open House in Dietenhofen, the Herpa family is going to demonstrate the path of a model from the big original to construction, mold construction, production, paint and print shop up to the assembly of the perfect 1/87 scale reproduction.

Next to a tour through production, you can expect a big truck show - including all "Herpa presents" trucks and other showtrucks of airbrush artists like Walter Rosner and Peter Litger. Car friends can look forward to a large vintage car exhibition and for remodelers and collectors, our freelancers will demonstrate how to additionally paint or remodel Herpa models or how to even fit them with an engine. The museum and our museum shop will be open as well and plenty of food and beverages will be available.

Premiere of the new Actros
Launched just a few days ago, Herpa also premieres the Mercedes-Benz Actros. The Actros' history as well as the new model featuring over 40 individual components can be discovered during a special exhibition in our museum - our mold construction will also display the design and development of the new Actros generation.
