Cars & Trucks
Among the passenger car models, the new Mercedes G-Class EQ in white and soda-blue metallic brings a breath of fresh air to the collection. But the absolute highlight is the new FAUN Variopress refuse collection vehicle, the new design appearing in two versions as the MAN TGS NN in white, and in municipal orange as fitted to the Mercedes-Benz Econic. Other new models in the commercial vehicle sector are the DAF XG and XG+ as 6x2 tractor units in red and white. The E-Trailer refrigerated box semi-trailers presented at the IAA 2024 are now also available as neutral accessories. The special feature of the Krone semi-trailer is the central dynamo rim and the Schmitz semi-trailer has a solar-powered refrigeration unit. Meanwhile, the new Leguan (“iguana”) armored bridge-laying vehicle with its impressive 26-metre bridge, provide new additions to the military range. There are also a large number of new models in the emergency vehicle sector, with the Malteser (“St John’s”) MAN TGX GX with a swap body and the MAN TGM CC Z-Cab in a neutral design being hotly anticipated by hobbyists. And the construction and waste disposal sector is expanding with the A920 mobile excavator in Max Bögl design and a skip loader based on the ALBA model.
Wings
Herpa is beginning 2025 with a wide range of new aircraft models. In addition to historical classics, such as the 1:500 Olympic 727, models with special paint work are sure to delight. Fans will be rubbing their hands excitedly over the Lufthansa A320 with European election lettering, the aesthetic QantasLink A220 featuring indigenous Australian artwork, and the Eintracht Frankfurt special livery of Sun Express. In the 1:200 scale, there are collector's items such as the Pan Am DC-3 and the Soviet TU-154 in a unique Nicaragua livery. For fans of special stories, the Fairchild 227 from Uruguay, known from the 1993 film adaptation of the events in “Alive” and the remake “Society of the Snow“ in 2023, will be appearing forthwith. Another highlight is the new SnapFit model from the German government fleet, the A350, which will be ready in time for the 2025 election year.
