Lufthansa Boeing – pocket size

Exclusively for Club members: aviation tags from the Lufthansa Boeing 747-430 “Baden-Württemberg”’s vertical tail.

More than ten years ago, the two aviation enthusiasts Stephan Boltz and Valentin Hartmann had a very special recycling idea:

Their company called boardbar converted discarded airplane trolleys into functional design furniture.

Their success and their global network among the aviation industry they had developed brought them to another step: alongside the in-flight trolleys, they also developed what they call aviation tags to offer discarded airplanes a kind of second life.

These are actually luggage or key tags made of the original metal of airplanes that were to be scrapped.

As a final finish, each piece gets an engraving featuring the aircraft type, the registration, and a drawing. With these details, the owner can register on a website, so in case of loss, he or she can be contacted by the finder.
