New Releases January / February 2019 now online

Dear Herpa-Fan,

Herpa’s autumn specials are all about IAA Commercial Vehicles, which took place in Hannover in September. Introduced there were inter alia the facelift of the Mercedes-Benz Actros, which is the first serial truck to make do without an exterior mirror. Its visually striking details like rear view cameras on the right and left, monitors inside, as well as a slightly modified dashboard are all authentically realized on the 1/87 scale Herpa model. Another new type is the Scania CG-17 for the construction vehicle sector. The models is delivered with the new matching all-wheel chassis. Also tagging along is a new Henglein truck, continuing Herpa’s tradition of enhancing this series every two years. Like all the other models in our autumn specials, the refrigerated box semitrailer model will be delivered by December.

Herpa uses this VW T6 bus with box trailer for fairs on a regular basis. A model of this vehicle is released as a one-off edition with prototypical prints and respective box trailer as contributed by the manufacturer of VK-Modelle.

It was 15 years ago that the Concorde operated its last flight. Herpa has entirely revised its model of the supersonic jet and is releasing it with a lowered nose besides many other little modifications. Meanwhile, two Emirates Airbus A380s have been flying for wildlife protection and against the illegal animal trade with an impressive special livery. After the model of the first variant (item no. 531764) the second one now follows with a logo of the organization “United for Wildlife”, which initiated this campaign. With its take-over of a majority stake in Bombardier’s C-Series program, Airbus has renamed the CS300 the A220-300. As such, the model is released in Airbus company colors in three scales.

New at Herpa: HERPA BASIC

New at Herpa: Herpa Basic

That’s basically how Herpa’s new Basic range is invariably described. With it, Herpa redefines a proven car model idea: It was launched for all model railroaders, beginners and car model friends who favor the legendary 1980s.

All of the important subjects that occupy model railroaders are realized. No matter whether municipal service trucks, the back then still green police car, or the striking fire engines. The program, tailored for model railroaders, is enhanced by trucks and Red Cross emergency vehicles. But model building doesn’t have to be expensive and highly complex: Herpa’s Basic range offers a multitude of high-quality miniature models compelling in the accuracy of fit of their individual components, their uncomplicated plug-in technology and detailed prints!
